The story of Alphard begins with a man whose compassion and dedication became a lifeline for the people of Addu. Trained at the hospital in the British Air Base on Gan Island, Ibrahim Khaleel—lovingly known across the community as Don Tuttu—laid the foundation of what would become a lasting legacy in healthcare.

In 1976, in a time of great medical need, he began offering pharmacy and healthcare services from the corners of his own home, Dhilkash Villa, S. Feydhoo. With no formal clinic, he served as both pharmacist and doctor, welcoming patients into his home and into his care. Through countless days and nights, his unwavering commitment brought hope and healing to Addu.

As the need grew, so did the vision. What began as one man's mission has blossomed into a network of pharmacies, each carrying forward the founding values of community service, compassionate care, and unwavering dedication to the health of the people of Addu.
